Centre for Energy Studies & SmartPaani- Field Trip

The 1st half of the “After SLC” intake is over and our 6th week began with our students researching their topic of interest and planning for the “FINAL PROJECT CHALLENGE” that will be a month long preparation which will be exhibited on the final day- June 21st!!!

On Thursday, our students made a field trip to Centre for Energy Studies at Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk. This site had been discussed during their Solar Oven Challenge. For more info please visit http://ces.ioe.edu.np/

Continuing with our weekly themes, this week we focused on WATER and our students visited the SmartPaani site as well as Saanjha Petrol Pump in Pulchowk where SmartPaani has implemented its rainwater harvesting project. Suman Shakya, a Kathmandu based social entrepreneur founded SmartPaani that deals with sustainable water management and rainwater harvesting. He has also been one of our guest speakers in our first intake.
