Student Presentation

Following the spirit of interactive learning, students create PowerPoint presentations based on their assignments and relay it to their classmates and teachers. The sessions at EduLift are as varied and diverse from Information Technology to Entrepreneurship, Current Affairs, Change Makers to Practical Science and Thurday Speaker Series. Some days the students cover topics regarding social issues, other times they are busy putting into slides their experience about the last Thursday Speaker. Students learn to create ideas for their business plans and through their Technology classes learn how to effectively present it.

The students also had a session on social media through which they learnt how to use a blog as an effective medium to express their thoughts and opinions. This was clearly a new concept for most of the students who before that session had never created or read a blog.

Last week, we conducted a presentation in the theme of PechaKucha asking our students to talk about anything they wanted to through pictures within 5 mins, with each picture not exceeding 30 secs. Students covered topics from My Country Nepal to SLC Princess, Music Instruments, My Best Friend and A Brief Info on Photoshop. Sujan Simkhada, Class 12 presented A Brief Info on Photoshop which while being within the time frame and informative was also very entertaining and clearly a new topic. Hence through such presentations over and over again every week, students are learning to reduce their fear of public speaking, are getting more creative and articulate in their expressions and it is also evident that their level of confidence is growing.
